CONVENIENCE

For six years years I've been photographing Toronto's independent convenience stores.

An ever-present fixture of the 1990s in Canadian cities and suburbs, these businesses were predominantly owned by Immigrant families, and they're vanishing. I'm creating a record of these establishments before they're gone. The project explores change, values, and the role of immigrant businesses in our communities.
