INTRO TO OFF CAMERA FLASH - CONTROL YOUR LIGHT
WHO’S IT FOR?
Any photographer who is interested in learning how to work with off camera flash! We will be working with speedlites and not strobes, but you do not need to have your own gear. The principals we discuss are ideal for helping you create dynamic photos in varying situations; in this way it’s ideal for wedding photographers and event photographers, but the techniques can be applied to portraits, product photography, food photography and interiors.

How to trigger and control off camera lighting
Different modifiers and techniques
Working with coloured gels
Learning how to create photos in different/challenging spaces
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
If you have access to a DSLR camera please bring it, but if you don’t have one don’t worry. Notes will be accessible online, so you can follow along on a laptop (but the notes will be available for download after the course as well).
Lunch and snacks will be provided.
WHERE IS THE COURSE?
The course will take place at Highwater Studio in west end Toronto
HOW MUCH IS IT?
The full day course is $350 Canadian. This includes lunch and snacks, all necessary gear for practice and demonstrations, and the digital curriculum. Slides and course notes will be provided, which means you can take them with you for reference.
Course notes will include helpful checklists, reminders, and troubleshooting guides.

As a music photographer Lindsay’s work has been featured in Rolling Stone Germany, Broken Pencil Magazine, and is a frequent contributor to Exclaim! Magazine. She tours frequently with Canadian bands and can often be found heading to a gig.
